On Tuesday the 14th June, fashion lovers from all over Hertfordshire converged on St Albans for an evening of fashion, beauty and style advice in support of DEMAND.
Hosted in the beautiful St Michael’s Manor Hotel, the event supported our work creating custom disability equipment that helps hundreds of people each year to be independent and empowered to do the things they love. The event raised an incredible total of well over £2000.
One guest was treated to a 10 Minute Makeover experience, courtesy of Restyle Magic and House of Colour St Albans, who demonstrated to the fascinated audience how simple make-up, jewellery and clothing colours matched to the individual can make a stunning difference to the end result.
Guests had the opportunity to purchase designer bargains from both a high street sample sale and DEMAND’s Pop-Up shop with hundreds of nearly new garments donated by friends of the charity, and to snap up fabulous jewellery, skincare and boutique clothing from local suppliers.
‘We’ve been so grateful for the support this event received from St Albans, and Watford communities” Denise Gillies, Fundraising Manager at DEMAND commented, “We couldn’t hold exciting events like this if it weren’t for the businesses and individuals who so generously give their support to DEMAND time and time again, a huge thanks goes to all of them! DEMAND’s work really does transform lives so we’re thrilled with the £2000+ raised by the F.A.B. event which means we can help even more disabled people.”
Our thanks go to our guests on the night who shopped enthusiastically, Arthur J Gallagher insurance brokers in Rickmansworth who kindly sponsored the event and to St. Michael’s Manor Hotel who once again provided the beautiful venue, all of whom made the event such a resounding success!
